groups + firebase branch

Kevin Chen requested to merge groups_backend_fb_api into master

Includes both branches. It's "Working"

Need to add the flow of adding courses to the user's home page via the course page later.

DMs/chat is missing. May switch to different auth/login if we use some other API (right now it's fb login)

Code is a bit gross right now. Probably can be cleaned up if anyone feels like it.
